महात्मा गांधी राष्ट्रीय ग्रामीण शिक्षा परिषद, उच्च शिक्षा विभाग, शिक्षा मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार द्वारा उद्यमिता को बढ़ावा देने के लिए चलाए जा रहे रोजगार के लिए कौशल निर्माण कार्यक्रम के तहत मंगलायतन विश्वविद्यालय में छात्र स्वयं सहायता समूह का गठन किया गया। कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ कुलपति प्रो. केवीएसएम कृष्णा ने मां सरस्वती के सामने दीप प्रज्जवलित करके किया।
कुलपति ने कहा कि उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों के छात्रों द्वारा स्वयं सहायता समूह बनाना उद्यमिता और कौशल निर्माण के दिशा में आवश्यक कदम है। उन्होंने एमजीएनसीआरई की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि कौशल, व्यावसायिक शिक्षा और अनुभवात्मक शिक्षा युवाओं की रोजगार योग्यता का मार्ग प्रशस्त करेगी। उद्यमिता की दिशा में छोटे कदम आर्थिक विकास को गति प्रदान कर सकते हैं। एमजीएनसीआरई के विशेषज्ञ पी. सुधीर कुमार ने बताया कि परिषद देश भर के उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों के साथ जुड़कर व्यावसायिक शिक्षा, रोजगार के लिए कौशल, सतत विकास, ग्रामीण व सामाजिक उद्यमिता को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए काम कर रहा है। विश्वविद्यालय में 15 समूह बनाए गए हैं। समूहांे को संचालित करने के लिए करीब 50 प्राध्यापकों को प्रशिक्षण प्रदान किया गया है। कार्यक्रम संयोजक प्रो. सिद्धार्थ जैन रहे। वहीं कार्यक्रम को टीएस राजपूत, राजेश पंचसरा ने भी संबोधित किया। कार्यक्रम के आयोजन में कुलसचिव प्रो. दिनेश शर्मा, डीन रिसर्च प्रो. रविकांत का विशेष सहयोग रहा। इस अवसर पर प्रो. जयंतीलाल जैन, प्रो. उल्लास गुरुदास, डा. अशोक पुरोहित आदि मौजूद रहे।
