मंगलायतन विश्वविद्यालय के आईबीएमईआर फार्मेसी विभाग ने विश्व मधुमेह दिवस के अवसर पर प्रो. देव प्रकाश दहिया के मार्गदर्शन और पर्यवेक्षण में मधुमेह के बारे में जागरूकता के लिए अभियान की पहल की। कुलपति प्रो. केवीएसएम कृष्णा ने हरी झंडी दिखाकर अभियान की शुरुआत की। कुलसचिव डा. दिनेश शर्मा ने शुभकामनाए दी।
विद्यार्थियों द्वारा विभिन्न मधुमेह पहलुओं पर पोस्टर लगाने के साथ गांव मई व गांव अनवरपुर के इंटर कालेज में जागरूकता अभियान चलाया। आईबीएमईआर डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ फार्मेसी के विद्यार्थियों व प्राध्यापकों ने मधुमेह क्या है, मधुमेह के प्रमुख कारण क्या हैं, मधुमेह के विभिन्न नियंत्रण पैरामीटर क्या हैं और मधुमेह का प्रबंधन कैसे करें, इसके बारे में ग्रामीणों को जागरूक किया। पोस्टर अभियान और जागरूकता रैली को एएसएसओ ने उत्साहपूर्वक समर्थन दिया। इस अवसर पर सहायक प्रो. जितेंद्र कुमार सिकरवार, सहायक प्रो. पूनम भारद्वाज, सहायक प्रो. आशीष, निखिल, राशिद, दीपक, अभय, चेतन, गौरव, विवेक, फुरकान, दिव्या, पूनम, सानी, अंकित, सौरभ, पुष्पेंद्र, सरोज कुंदन, संजीव, ललित, रुकमपाल, उमेश, रोमेश, नवीन, विष्णु, अभय आदि मौजूद रहे।
