Mangalayatan University gets recognition for science subject in distance education

Mangalayatan University has received recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) as a science subject in distance education. Mangalayatan is the first university in the state to conduct science courses in distance education in the category of private universities. There will be a golden opportunity here for those who want to study science along with job.

This information was given by Director Prof. Masood Parvez said that UGC has also given recognition to B.Sc (Zoology, Biology, Chemistry) and (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), Bachelor of Library and Information (BLIS), Master of Library and Information (MLIS). B.Sc classes will be conducted in online mode and one will have to come to the university campus for practical classes.

Till now nine courses include B.Com, BA, MBA, M.Com, M.Sc Mathematics, MA (English, History, Politics, Sociology) courses. Its information is available on the website. Learners can take admission by filling the online form on the website.

In the meeting held in the Vice-Chancellor’s Auditorium, Vice-Chancellor Prof. PK Dashora, Registrar Brigadier Samarveer Singh, Controller of Examinations Prof. Dinesh Sharma expressed happiness on getting the recognition. The Vice Chancellor said that the University is determined to provide quality higher education to the students living in the last mile who want to study through information technology in distance education.

There is tremendous attraction among students towards distance education courses. The controller of examinations said that distance education is a better option for those who work or cannot go to study far away. On this occasion Prof. Abdul Wadud Siddiqui, Prof. YP Singh, Dr. Rajesh Upadhyay, Dr. Ashok Upadhyay, Dr. Soni Singh, Luv Mittal, Jitendra Yadav etc.
