अलीगढ़। मंगलायतन विश्वविद्यालय को नए कुलपति के रुप में प्रो. पीके दशोरा मिले है। शनिवार को उन्होंने विश्वविद्यालय में पदभार ग्रहण कर लिया है। नए कुलपति का विश्वविद्यालय परिवार द्वारा स्वागत किया गया। उन्होंने सभी संकायों के डीन व विभागाध्यक्षों के साथ वीसी सभागार में बैठक कर परिचय प्राप्त किया।
प्रो. दशोरा ने बताया कि उनका पहला लक्ष्य विश्वविद्यालय के हित को सर्वाेपरि रखते हुए नैक (नेशनल असेसमेंट एंड एक्रिडिएशन काउंसिल) की मान्यता दिलाना है। उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि विद्यार्थियों को रोजगार परक शिक्षा, बेहतर सुविधाए और विद्यार्थियों के समग्र विकास को वरीयता देंगे। मंगलायतन विश्वविद्यालय प्रगति की नई ऊंचाईयों को छुए, शोध के विद्यार्थियों की संख्या बढ़े, विद्यार्थियों, प्राध्यापकों व विवि के हित में सदैव सक्रियता और संवेदनशीलता से कार्य करने की कोशिश रहेगी। हमारा लक्ष्य छात्र के संपूर्ण व्यक्तित्व का निर्माण कर एक आदर्श नागरिक तैयार करना होना चाहिए। इस अवसर पर निवर्तमान कुलपति प्रो. केवीएसएम कृष्णा, कुलसचिव प्रो. दिनेश शर्मा, प्रो. जयंतीलाल जैन, डायरेक्टर हॉस्पीटल प्रो. वैंकट, डीन अकेडमिक प्रो. उल्लास गुरुदास आदि मौजूद रहे।
