अलीगढ़। मंगलायतन विश्वविद्यालय में गुरुवार को मंगलायतन आयुर्वेदा एंड मेडिकल कालेज रिसर्च सेंटर, इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ नर्सिंग एंड पेरामेडिकल साइंस, मंगलायतन हॉस्पिटल एवं रेड रिवन क्लब के संयुक्त तत्वाधान में विश्व रोज डे मनाया गया। इस दौरान कैंसर जैसी घातक बीमारी से लड़ रहे लोगों का उत्साह वर्धन करने व उनका सम्मान करने की शपथ दिलाई गई।
कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए कुलपति प्रो. केवीएसएम कृष्णा ने कहा कि कैंसर एक घातक बीमारी है, इससे व्यक्ति के मानसिक स्वास्थ्य पर भी असर पड़ता है। हमारी जिम्मेदारी है कि हम कैंसर पीड़ित व्यक्ति के आखिरी क्षणों तक जीवन के आनंद को खत्म न होने दें। डायरेक्टर डा. वैंकटा वीपीआरपी राउ ने कहा कि रोज डे कनाडा की मेलिंडा रोज की याद में मनाया जाता है। उन्हें महज 12 साल की उम्र में ब्लड कैंसर हो गया था। डॉक्टर्स ने मेलिंडा रोज की जिंदगी बस एक हफ्ते की बताई थी लेकिन वो छह माह तक जिंदा रहीं। उन्होंने यह दिन कैंसर से जूझ रहे मरीजों के साथ ही खुशी से बिताए। सीएमओ डा. योगेश कुमार ने कहा कि गुलाब का फूल खुशी का प्रतीक है। इस दिन कैंसर मरीजों और उनकी देखरेख करने वालों को गुलाब का फूल दिया जाता है जिसके जरिए संदेश देते हैं कि जिंदगी अभी खत्म नहीं हुई है। वहीं, डा. राहुल तिवारी ने कैंसर पीड़ितों को एहसास दिलाने की बात कही कि वह इस लड़ाई में अकेले नहीं है। डा. प्रियंका कुमारी ने लाइफ स्टाइल को बदलकर शुद्ध खाना खाने पर बल दिया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन डा. पीसी शुक्ला ने किया। इस अवसर पर प्रो. सिद्धार्थ जैन, डा. रेखा रानी, डा. फैज खान, डा. शिवांश, विष्णु शर्मा, तरुण शर्मा, नंदकिशोर वर्मा, नेत्रपाल सिंह, शिवनारायण, नितिन कुमार, दयाल सिंह, मुकेश चौधरी आदि उपस्थित थे।
