कड़ाके की ठंड में जहां लोग रजाई व कंबल के सहारे घरों में सो जाते हैं, लेकिन उनकी जिंदगी कैसे गुजरती होगी जिनके पास ठंड से बचने का कोई साधन न हो। जरुरतमंदों के इसी दर्द को समझते हुए मंगलायतन विश्वविद्यालय की समाज सेवी संस्था कदम के विद्यार्थियों ने समीपवर्ती गांव बोना में जरुरमंदों को कंबल भेंट किए। कपकपाती ठंड में कंबल पाकर ग्रामीणों की खुशी का ठिकाना न रहा।
निदेशक स्टूडेंट गतिविधि लव मित्तल ने कहा कि मंगलायतन विश्वविद्यालय ने बोना गांव को गोद लिया है। समय-समय पर गांव में विद्यार्थियों के साथ समाजसेवा के कार्य किए जाते हैं। समाज के जरुरतमंद लोगों की सेवा करना पुण्य का कार्य है। डा. सोनी सिंह ने कहा कि कदम संस्था समय-समय पर जरुरतमंद लोगों की मदद करती आई है। आगे भी मदद करती रहेगी। प्रधान प्रतिनिधि अरविंद कुमार ने कदम की पहल को सराहनीय बताया। कदम की अनूठी पहल पर कुलपति प्रो. पीके दशोरा, कुलसचिव बिग्रे. समरवीर सिंह, परीक्षा नियंत्रक प्रो. दिनेश शर्मा ने प्रसन्नता व्यक्त की। इस अवसर पर जितेंद्र कुमार, दीपमाला के साथ ही छात्र रोहित, सजल, साधना, अनन्य आदि का विशेष सहयोग रहा।
