देव ऋषि नारद ब्रह्मांड के प्रथम पत्रकार कहे जाते हैं। वे देव व मृत्यु लोक में भ्रमण करके सूचनाआें का आदान प्रदान करते थे। इसलिए वह पत्रकारों के लिए पुज्यनीय हैं। शनिवार को मंगलायतन विश्वविद्यालय के पत्रकारिता एवं जनसंचार विभाग में देव ऋषि नारद की जयंती मनाई गई। इस दौरान पुष्प, धूप, मिष्ठान अर्पित कर नारद मुनि का पूजन किया गया। मुख्य अतिथि प्रो. जयंतीलाल जैन रहे।

विभागाध्यक्ष डा. संतोष गौतम ने बताया कि हिंदू पंचांग के अनुसार, ज्येष्ठ माह की प्रतिपदा तिथि को भगवान नारद की जयंती मनाई जाती है। नारद मुनि ब्रह्मा के मानस पुत्र हैं। उन्हे तीनाें लोकाें में भ्रमण करने का वरदान मिला हुआ था। उन्होंने बताया कि मंगलायतन विश्वविद्यालय के कम्युनिटी रेडियो स्टेशन का नाम भी देव ऋषि नारद के नाम पर रेडियो नारद रखा गया है। संचालन वीर प्रताप सिंह ने किया। इस अवसर पर डा. हैदर अली, डा. शगुफ्ता परवीन, डा. हरित प्रियदर्शी, डा. हरीश कुमार, कार्तिक शर्मा, मयंक जैन, मुकेश ठेनुआं आदि थे।
