मंगलायतन विश्वविद्यालय को राष्ट्रीय अल्पसंख्यक शैक्षणिक संस्था आयोग, शिक्षा मंत्रालय भारत सरकार द्वारा जैन अल्पसंख्यक संस्थान का दर्जा प्रदान किया गया है। आयोग के सचिव मनोज कुमार केजरीवाल ने इस संबंध में प्रमाण पत्र निर्गत किया है। मंविवि को अल्पसंख्य शैक्षिक संस्थान का दर्जा प्राप्त होने से प्राध्यापकों, कर्मचारियों व विद्यार्थियों ने आयोग के इस निर्णय का स्वागत करते हुए खुशी जाहिर की। विश्वविद्यालय में जैन समाज के हितों का विशेष ध्यान रखा जाता है अब इसे और ज्यादा बल मिलेगा।
कुलपति प्रो. पीके दशोरा ने खुशी जाहिर करते हुए विश्वविद्यालय परिवार के सभी सदस्यों को धन्यवाद दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि यह सभी के सहयोग व प्रयास से ही संभव हुआ है। शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में नया कीर्तिमान स्थापित करने पर विश्वविद्यालय को अबतक अनेकों उपलब्धियां प्राप्त हुई हैं। कुलसचिव बिग्रेडियर समरवीर सिंह व परीक्षा नियंत्रक प्रो. दिनेश शर्मा ने प्रसन्नता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि विवि का उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों के मस्तिष्क में सामंजस्य की भावना स्थापित करने के साथ उन्हें उच्च शिक्षा व संस्कारों की ओर अग्रसर करना है। हमारी इन्हीं विशेषताओं पर हमें यह उपलब्धि मिली है।
