The Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Prof. Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, did online meeting with universities, those are offering distance learning education. The objective of this online meeting was discussion on Implementation of National Education Policy 2020 in Distance Learning Education. On this online meeting the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. P.K. Dashora participated and shared his valuable suggestion to make distance learning education more productive and employment-oriented, as per the guidelines of National Education Policy 2020. The Chairman of the UGC, Prof. Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar instructed universities to adhere government guidelines and upload degree, diploma, and certificate on the university website. In addition, he also said that according to new education policy, imperative for students to register in academic bank of credit thereby they can get its benefit and hire industry expert thereby students can get industry exposure. On this meeting, Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. P.K. Dashora, highlighted the salient features of Mangalayatan University and said how the University has changed its education system according to national education policy where main focus is on industry-academia collaboration, industry internship, fostering entrepreneurship spirit in students, research, and innovation. In addition, Mr. Dashora also highlighted University’s contribution for underprivilege section of the society with education.
