Students of Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences of Mangalayatan University celebrated International Radiology Day with great enthusiasm. A cake was cut in honor of the great radiology scientist Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen who discovered the existence of X-rays and their effects in 1895. In the second session, a quiz was organized regarding various methods of radiology and new radiological techniques and their effects.
Vice Chancellor Prof. P.K Dashora said that this initiative of the university is very important. He said that after any kind of accident, doctors advise for X-ray, the main purpose of which is to correctly identify the disease. Radiology plays an important role in correctly diagnosing the disease. This is an opportunity not only to promote these benefits among our colleagues in health care and the public at large, but also to consider them ourselves as radiologists.
Director INPS Prof. RK Sharma told that International Radiology Day is celebrated all over the world on 08 November. This is one of the most important events in the history of medicine. This year the theme of the campaign is ‘Patient Safety’. The aim of which is to create greater awareness of the contribution of radiology to safe patient care and to improve public understanding of the vital role of radiologists and radiographers in the continuum of health care. On this occasion, Registrar Brigadier Samarveer Singh, Controller of Examinations Prof. Dinesh Sharma, CMO Dr. Faiz expressed happiness and extended best wishes. Teachers like Dr. Arfa Alam, Dr. Alka Singh, Saloni Singh, Shalini Singh, Jitendra Saraswat, Akash Singh, Rajesh Kumar, Nidhi Garg, Meenakshi Bisht, Neha Kushwaha, Dr. Saurabh Mishra, Dr. Soni Singh etc. were present in the program.
