मंगलायतन विश्वविद्यालय में 77 वां स्वतंत्रता दिवस धूमधाम से मनाया गया। कुलपति प्रो. पीके दशोरा ने ध्वजा रोहण किया। राष्ट्रगान के साथ ही सभी ने राष्ट्रीय ध्वज को सलामी दी और देश सेवा में बलिदान हुए रणबांकुरों को नमन किया।
कुलपति प्रो. पीके दशोरा ने स्वतंत्रता दिवस की शुभकामनाएं देते हुए क्रांतिकारियों को नमन किया। उन्होंने कहा कि हमारा झंडा इसलिए नहीं लहराता है क्योंकि हवा इसे लहराती है, अपितु यह सैनिक की उस आखिरी सांस से लहराता है जो इस झंडे की कल्पना करते हुए देश की रक्षा में वीरगति को प्राप्त हुआ है। हम ऐसी महान विभूतियों को याद करते हुए देश को प्रगति के पथ पर आगे लेकर जाने का संकल्प लेते हैं। इस राष्ट्र के निर्माण में युवा प्राणों की आहुति देते आए हैं। यदि हम संकल्प ले और सार्थक प्रयास करें तो बड़े से बड़ा लक्ष्य प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। भारत को विकसित राष्ट्र बनाने के लिए प्रत्येक भारतीय को सक्रिय भूमिका अदा करनी है। विश्वविद्यालय का सतत प्रयास रहता है कि सभी छात्र व प्राध्यापक ज्ञान के विस्तार में योगदान करें।
कुलसचिव ब्रिगेडियर समर वीर सिंह ने स्वतंत्रता दिवस की शुभकामनाएं दी। उन्होंने कहा कि हम सबको गर्व है हम स्वतंत्र हैं। हमारा प्रत्येक कार्य देश के नाम होना चाहिए और कर्तव्यों का निर्वहन ईमानदारी से करना चाहिए। इस अवसर पर सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का भी आयोजन हुआ। जिसमें रुचि ने गीत व श्रष्टी ने कविता पाठ किया, रिंकी व रेशु ने भाव नृत्य किया, रमेश शर्मा ने देश भक्ति गीत सुनाए। वर्ष 2023 में मंविवि में उत्कृष्ट सेवा देने वाले विभाग डीवीपीए, आईबीएमसी, एसओपी के साथ ही प्रो. अंकुर अग्रवाल, डा. पूनम रानी, यादवेंद्र प्रताप सिंह, जितेंद्र यादव, उमेश चंद शर्मा, मयंक प्रताप सिंह, डा. दीपमाला, शोमिल सक्सेना, भूपेंद्र, सुरेश को कुलपति द्वारा प्रशस्ति पत्र देकर सम्मानित किया गया। आभार व्यक्त प्रो. सिद्धार्थ जैन व संचालन मयंक जैन ने किया। इस अवसर पर परीक्षा नियंत्रक प्रो. दिनेश शर्मा, प्रो. जयंती लाल जैन, प्रशासनिक अधिकारी गोपाल राजपूत, प्रो. मसूद परवेज, प्रो. रविकांत, प्रो. महेश कुमार, प्रो. वाईपी सिंह, प्रो. राजीव शर्मा, प्रो. प्रमोद कुमार, डा. सोनी सिंह, डा. नियती शर्मा, डा. संतोष गौतम, लव मित्तल, श्वेता भारद्वाज आदि थे।
